A non-geriatrician consultant once told me frailty was “just a fancy word”. But many see the benefits nowadays to balance those who don’t.
I’ve spent too much of my day (and probably most of my 35 year clinical career) trying to explain why older people with complex needs are probably best cared for by a decent geriatrician and accompanying multidisciplinary team. Why is this even necessary?.
