I just learned you can generate UUIDs in the browser without a package. No more Math.random().toString() for me.

Very happy @Flightcontrolhq customer at @teleatherapy. I honestly forgot we were using it for a few months because it just works and I never need to think about it (definitely a good thing)!.

🔥 ANNOUNCING @FLIGHTCONTROLHQ 2.0 🔥. AWS has been too intimidating and tedious, causing teams to settle for a simplistic black box PaaS or hiring devops too early. But no more! 🙅🏼. Our Developer-first AWS infrastructure enables you to use the best AWS services without manual.

Just used to look at and list all the features it found. Also used it on a few competitors sites to compare features. Best $5 I've spend in a while.

I really love that using @pestphp I can make my own test domain specific language (DSL). Then I can easily test core things like authentication and authorisation for every api route and add in little ad hoc tests like this.

I expose it on the window so I can toggle different permissions in my @playwrightweb tests and quickly test what different users would see. I've also used it on demos to quickly show what different user types would see without having to log in and out or update roles.

This only toggles the UI on the frontend. We just update the data on the client that we fetched from the backend to "trick" it into showing different UI. If you don't have the permission on the backend you'll get a 403 response, which can be handy for testing error states!.

Inspired by @kentcdodds I added custom devtools to our web app last year. So much easier to simulate different permissions & feature flag combinations. Nothing's persisted to the backend but still it's important all API endpoints are properly authorised.

Thanks @freekmurze @spatie_be for invade()! I wanted to test the result of a private method in a unit test and didn't want to change it to public and expose the method. Very handy package:

Finally reached the limit of @linear’s generous free plan. Easiest decision to immediately sign up for an annual plan. Such great software and a great use of @ToDesktop also 😇.

I learned to program with Laracasts. Would highly recommend checking them out if you're new or familiar with Laravel already!.

I've been part of the JS and Laravel worlds for 5 or so years now. Today it seems like they're colliding!. I'd like to offer a few signposts for those coming from a JS background wanting to explore Laravel, I've just started that here:.
