@brihughespoet My sonnet 'After Before Dawn' in Issue 14 of @datableedzine came about as a response to Swinburne's depictions of queer embodiment - and playing with the textual body of the sonnet myself felt like genderqueer poetic praxis.

@brihughespoet I think people like have a defined sandpit to play in. Many of us were introduced to the form in school, so now we have fun messing around with and subverting it. Here are my five vispo sonnet-not-sonnets in @datableedzine:

I’ve got two more sonnets from my thesis with @datableedzine. One about a new relationship—another about growing up with an what seemed like an inescapable connection to addiction

Pretty surreal but my first published poem is in this very cool issue, alongside some very cool work
