Bron's fans want us to believe that what he's doing at 38 is so incredible. Tim Duncan actually played the entire regular season (77 games) and kicked LeBron's ass in the 2014 Finals...at 38 years old. And Kareem played 78 and 80 games at 38 and 39 and won back-to-back titles.

@danderson711 Duncan was a PF…wasn’t asked to play the other 4 positions…and didn’t play 20 years at a high level. 🍎 vs 🍊

@DjQueOne Playing the PF position would mean he was playing down low and most often the last line of defense. I don't know where you're going with that one.

@JarrodWilkins7 What's your point? Kareem was a center in the 80s. LeBron is often the second biggest guy on the floor playing in a three ball league with no dominant centers or power forwards.

@danderson711 Timmy averaged 13.9 ppg, 9.1 rpg and 2.0 bpg at age 38. Very solid for 38. Dirk was at 14.2 ppg, 6.5 rpg and 1.5 apg. KAJ was probably tops at 23.4 ppg, 6.1 rpg and 1.6 bpg. LeBron averaged 28.9 ppg, 8.3 rpg and 6.8 apg. Highest ever pts/reb/ast totals ever at that age.

@NYJets2103 I think you missed my point. What LeBron is doing is not something that has never been done. I would argue that it is much easier to play in this NBA at 38 than it was in the 80s for Kareem. Just like Tom Brady isn't playing QB until he's 45 years old in the 70s/80s/90s.

@danderson711 Right, so it's only been done twice in the history of the NBA, by two players in the Top10 all time list, and he's doing it more effectively than both of those times? Dunno, it seems pretty incredible to me.

@Michael_Mcghee He took off a third of the season and does it primarily on one end of the floor. But you go off though!

@bsuave831 A player can help his team in more ways than just scoring. Tim Duncan scored and was also the anchor of their defense.

@danderson711 He was 37. He averaged 15/10/3 on on 29mpg. LeBron is actually 38 (not just for the sake of a narrative I’m trying to push) and averaged 29/8/7.

@danderson711 Duncan averaged 16 and 9 for that playoff run and 15 & 9 in the regular season. While having 3 other hall of famers on his team. It’s really not even comparable if we are being real. Stop it
