Nobody EVER talked about Finals appearances until LeBron started going to them and losing more than he won. You rarely ever hear "Magic went to nine Finals." Finals appearances became the standard for LeBron fans when they knew he wasn't going to catch MJ.

I think Lebron made it out of the East a few times with str8 trash. I think he has the most appearances in nba history where he led both teams in every category.

Nobody absolutely nobody said Kareem 10 finals appearances West 9 finals appearances Magic 9 finals appearances then it became winning a chip with multiple teams like kareem didn’t exist then it became most in a row in the finals like Russell didn’t get there 10 in a row.
