Actually - this country's values and identity should be central to the BBC. Not the other way around. This is the problem. It's this kind of middle class solipsism which is damaging it and turning vast swathes of the population against it forever.
I 100% back the BBC. It is central to the values and identity of this country. Not just news but also arts, science, education, entertainment and more. Time to recognise and celebrate its brilliance, not to pull it down.
