I've never taken up arms in the battle between hardware and software, but I often point to softsynths like SurgeXT, Korg opsix Native, and Noise Engineering's Loquelic Vereor as good reasons to go inside the box

Grainer is more than just icing on the cake; it's like another cake on top of the cake. Tonverk is now a sampler, granular engine, preset-player, drum-machine, FX box, and MIDI sequencer, all in one machine

I've been playing with this for a while and your sample-mangling dreams have come true. So many of my new tracks take advantage of this new, fun machine.

A major, major update! The modern, creative sampler gets granular, with "Grainer," among other enhancements.

Even though the Elektron Tonverk is glitch-heaven, I still can't believe what a crazy machine the Octatrack is. 3 LFOs, retrig, slices, timestretch, crazy FX...eternal

I've got to thank @0PN for the reminder that you can do anything you want with your music...because it's your music and expression of self. I often think that I need more of this type of track or that on an album, but it's really whatever you want to put out there.

I've put out a lot of music. I sometimes forget about certain tracks. Here's one I really dig:

Been doing this "trick" where you take out a peaky, problem-frequency with a dynamic EQ, then put back a little of what was lost with another EQ

I'm able to load a 375MB .flac into the Tonverk and manipulate it in realtime, without issue. This is great for remixing.

Lest we forget @MikeParadinas put out another great release while "1979" was still warm.

So, what is the best USB MIDI interface? Like, with the lowest latency, jitter, etc? I have an ancient MIDIman Midispor 4x4 which has worked fine, but I wonder if I can get even better performance.

Filterverse is one of the smartest, well-made FX plugins out there. You can basically do anything. Modulate everything from everything, routing, etc.
