5 takeaways from the World Series 1. Toronto is an amazing team with a very bright future. They’ll get a shot at revenge 2. Yamamoto is the best pitcher alive and I won’t hear arguments against this at the moment 3. Defense wins championships. How many singular close plays

"It's just crazy to think where I was a year ago, I don't know if I was making my first throws yet... now I find myself starting Game 7 of the ALCS. I'm so happy and we're going to the World Series." - Shane Bieber @jonmorosi | @BlueJays | #WANTITALL

Can be true, can be false. Different types of movers across the board, some need it and some don't. If the throw is clean and velo isn't there (without certain factors) then you probably need to get stronger.. which is a lot guys under 24 y/o If you can clean up the throw,
We’re watching pitchers who don’t lift heavy, focus on mobility and fast-twitch work, throwing 97–100. Meanwhile, we’re still out here lifting heavy and getting hurt.

As we get deeper into the fall, evaluate where your game needs the most improvement. A well rounded approach is great in theory but spamming what you actually need to work on is going to put you in a better position than trying to fix multiple things that don't matter as much

From being hurt in the fall and having outings where he was 83-85 topping 88 on bad days to now sitting right around his PR from last spring I couldn’t be more excited for Dylan. Plenty more in the tank for him this winter!

The final step is to then clean up some of the blending from all pitch types in his arsenal as a whole and create more deviation as a whole. Allow the SL to be the bridge between his FB and CB and kill some vert on the CH which will allow for him to create a different look from

The next step is to get him back to patterns where he's performed well and give him the ability to leverage part of the zones that he has struggled to get to across the last few seasons. Change the slider/cutter into a harder slider with more lift. Ideally a 5vb, -5hb slider

The solutions to this? Pretty simple in theory, harder in execution. The first step is to clean up anything on the movement/ROM side, Paddack has been on the IL 8 times throughout the last 5 seasons with some longer stints (TJ) and some low back problems. Address the main issues

While the mechanical changes haven't been drastic I believe they can play into some execution. Most of the FB's have been more middle of the zone compared to the top of the zone in 2019 and the off-speed offerings have now started to end up over the plate as well. With a little

On the mechanical side, there hasn't been a drastic change. A slightly lower set position in '19 allowed him to leverage the spine later in the throw rather than extending early, he had a slightly less linear lower half, and a little more lateral flexion/tilt as he moved down the

Chris Paddack had an unreal rookie year in 2019. A sub 1.00 WHIP while holding a 3.33 ERA across 26 starts is definitely a way to make yourself known. At the time Paddack averaging just shy of 94mph with 2 other offerings made him a relatively complete starter in his rookie
