Unbelievable, just heard a woman on LBC saying her mother's funeral due to be held on the 19th has been cancelled. She has family coming from all over the world and is in discussion about a new date. I cannot believe the late Queen would be happy about this.

Yes I’ve seen someone saying they have family here from Oz who are meant to be going to a family funeral on Monday and flying home soon after. This is not right

Woman who called LBC has family coming from all over, it seems like it's funeral people don't work on a bank holiday, unless you're the Queen of course.

Apparently funeral directors don't work on Bank Holidays, this could a bit awkward.🤔

That is down to the individual funeral directors or church. There is no requirement to cancel events. No requirement to even close the shops.

That is unacceptable. A huge amount of work goes into a funeral. Not to mention travel, time of e we irk, childcare etc. And of course the emotion. I don’t understand how this can be allowed.

Should still go ahead all the funerals that were booked already. Don't think the Queen would like it

The Queen never had to sacrifice any of here dates for anyone else, it would have been a completely foreign concept for her
