Well-designed new towns have a role to play, and we welcome the focus on urban regeneration and affordable homes. They should be led by a brownfield-first approach, with genuinely affordable homes and rich in nature. https://t.co/AFFmXZSV9e

🌄 Weakening protections for England’s National Parks and National Landscapes goes against election promises to make them wilder and greener. At a time when land is under growing pressure, we need bold, long-term safeguards, matching the ambition of the post-war government that

Great to see rooftop solar taking off in Brighton and Hove! If we get solar panels on the roofs of car parks, warehouses and other public buildings, we can unlock clean power while protecting the countryside for nature recovery, food and people. 💚 https://t.co/FoaUZ1LCpJ

Half of England’s small towns are transport deserts. Without reliable buses, rural communities face isolation and lost opportunities. We’re urging the government to act now, with guaranteed service levels and fair funding. https://t.co/rkXHGDiLjZ

Reform UK says it would pull all subsidies from wind & solar - even existing contracts. That’s a huge risk to rural jobs, energy security & climate action. Climate change is the biggest threat to the countryside. Net zero, done well, is our best defence. https://t.co/ifHiNJeWFX

The government plans to build 40,000 homes on brownfield land in 10 years, but there’s space for 1.2 million. We back a brownfield-first approach, but it must deliver truly affordable & social housing, not just starter homes. https://t.co/EvJUYkWlor

🏘️ Homes are being built across England, but without the schools, shops & doctors families need. We need affordable, sustainable, connected communities. Not isolated, car-dependent estates. The government must prioritise brownfield land today. https://t.co/Z9G0ooWCvu

We’ve dug into the Solar Roadmap, and while it’s great to see some wins for our campaign, there’s still work to do. 👥Communities must be heard from day one. 🌾Planning protections need to stop profit-first land grabs. 🏡Rooftop solar should lead the way. https://t.co/p4JYfEa9xz
