We're celebrating Cornish king crab every day this week for #britishsandwichweek. It's super tasty and is available pre-picked this season, perfect for a sarnie filling but here's the real reason why this under-rated shellfish should be on your table... https://t.co/c7QqlvFtFs

The idea that seafood is pricey is not uncommon, but this is one of the things a fishmonger can help with. If you’re willing to mix it up & try something different, you can often grab a bargain - plus you may fall in love with a new species that you’ve never tried before!

Let’s talk about bones. In the UK, we’re a fussy bunch, with a lot of us preferring our seafood filleted without bones. Whether you like bones or prefer your seafood without, fishmongers are on-hand to help. So, what’ll it be? On or off the bone?

Witch by name, delicious by nature. We recommend roasting (200 for ~8 mins) with a squeeze of lemon, a dash of olive oil, & a pinch of salt & pepper (cauldron optional). No witch? Plaice or megrim work great too. They just don't sound spooky... 📷 @eco_boy

Seafood-lovers & fishing folk in & around Penzance will know of Cass & his super friendly team at Marisco Fish. So when we popped in, it wasn’t surprising to see they were as enthusiastic, knowledgeable & passionate about good quality fish and shellfish as ever!

In Cornwall we’re blessed with so many gorgeous wild swimming spots like Halford Passage which is super scenic and sheltered (which makes it much easier to take the plunge if you're new to wild swimming!) 🌊🏊 Let us know your favourite Cornish swim spots in the comments!

Newlyn fisherman @LambournTom took us out on his boat ‘My Lass’ to show us a day in the life of a local fisherman. Tom belongs to one of the most sustainable fishing fleets in Europe, @Cornishfpo. Notice how he throws back lobsters carrying eggs so they can continue to breed?
