Grateful for new followers. So it's worth restating some rules of my threads: Nonsense will be muted. Incivility will be blocked. Proven falsehoods and threats will be reported.

So it was an honor to have Thomas on @TPandRPod Talkin' Politics & Religion Without Killin' Each Other this week to discuss the release of his new book. I hope you check out the interview and, of course, read his excellent work. It would be great to discuss it all with you.

The book is one of the most robust defenses of the enlightenment values such as those articulated in the First Amendment; while it's also a vigorous critique of the excesses of what's come to be known as "cancel culture" and "wokeism."

In SUMMER OF OUR DISCONTENT, @thomaschattwill reckons with all that was happening in the summer of 2020 - historically, culturally and politically: What led up to that moment, what was happening in that moment and how it's shaped us since.

🦅 Pennsylvania - Final Thoughts It's been a long election cycle with ups and downs, but my gut feelings + data are about the same as they were in August. I think VP Harris is favored to win PA by 2 pts, give or take 1 while Senator Casey wins by 4-5. Let's break down why. ⬇️

What about that poll conducted by @jaselzer 's firm for the @DMRegister with Harris leading Trump in Iowa 47%-44%? Is that the outlier? Or has Selzer uncovered fundamental dynamics in this race, much like she did in '16 + '20, that others haven't picked up on? 2/3

There aren't many practitioners who know the numbers better than @madrid_mike. The dude doesn't roll out with calls willy nilly and often says the things folks don't wanna hear. So when Madrid gives a key data pt like this, I listen. Meaning: If this is the case, Harris wins PA.
