BC Ferries has informed us that the Denman ferry has something caught in the cable. A crew is on their way to hopefully dislodge. Students on the bus home to Denman are at Buckley Bay Ferry terminal waiting. Bus 807 on Denman is presently prepared to run late.

Comox Valley Schools Board Office has moved to 2488 Idiens Way, Courtenay. The Board Office is closed to the public until August 19. 607 Cumberland Road, Courtenay will soon be the home of SD 71 Indigenous Education and SD 71 Inclusive Education.

The Shingle Spit to Gravelly Bay ferry crossing is cancelled due to high winds. BC Ferries has cancelled sailings up to 8:20 AM but are not guaranteeing that they’ll start back up. Secondary students will be dropped off back at home. The elementary bus run may be delayed.

BC Ferries has announced the Denman to Buckley Bay Ferry is not running this morning due to mechanical issues. This means bus routes 818 and 807 will not be running this morning. Students who ride the 804 bus, will taken back to Hornby for pick-up by parents/guardians.
