We also want to thank our members and supporters who sent thousands of emails to legislators demanding a budget that did not trade voting rights for budget concessions. When negotiations in Harrisburg stalled, our voices across Pennsylvania only got louder. (2/2)

After four months, Pennsylvia finally has a budget. While this budget is not perfect, we are thankful to see schools and social services funded, and we look forward to advocating for our legislative priorities on the other side of these negotiations. (1/2)

The PA legislature has finally adopted a state budget. When a budget is so late it’s tempting to just celebrate. And while this budget contains a major achievement—a 2nd year of school funding—there's much that we can’t celebrate. Here's our top takeaways:

Pennsylvania schools, social service providers, and local governments are grateful today that the General Assembly is poised to adopt a state budget for the fiscal year that began on July 1, 2025. …

This morning, Chester County informed the Department of State of the error in printing of their election books. We are in contact with the county to help them address this quickly — in the meantime, unaffiliated voters can still vote safely and securely via provisional ballot at
Chester County Voter Services has reported that the poll books at all precincts currently do not include the names of third-party voters. Voter Services is in the process of sending supplemental poll books to all polling locations. 1/2

Today is day 28 of the government shutdown. The solution is simple: Congress can do its job and pass a budget that protects our healthcare, pays our troops and federal workers, and puts people, not billionaires, first.

Instead of lowering costs or improving lives, Trump enriched himself & his billionaire friends. Our CEO @KaseVirginia & board member @cliff_notes told @theguardianfeed that millions at #NoKings rallies demand real action—showing we’re a democracy, not an autocracy.

Pennsylvania deserves a senator who fights for us. But @SenFettermanPA voted for Trump’s billionaires’ budget — cutting health care for everyday Pennsylvanians while protecting tax breaks for the wealthy. That’s not standing with the people. That’s standing with Trump.

The #PABudget is officially 3 months late! Each day that our legislators fail to negotiate a budget is a day that Pennsylvanians take on the burden of inaction. We have seen programs & services in jeopardy and rising costs. What we need to see is a working budget for the people.
