I was proud to support @CMCarlinaRivera’s legislation because grieving families deserve truth, and our city deserves a corrections system rooted in integrity and oversight.
Yesterday, @NYCCouncil passed a bill requiring @CorrectionNYC to notify family and the public within 24 hours when someone dies in custody. This is an important step towards ending secrecy, advancing transparency, and restoring dignity.

Thrilled that my bill Int.1077 is expected to pass today: . The “Luggage to Youth in Foster Care” would require ACS to provide luggage to youth entering the foster care system, transitioning between foster homes, or exiting the foster care system. #LuggageofLove.
