Is this the ANNIHILATION gender-role psychosis-creature? The symbolism in that film was so overt that I did not register them as "aliens" :) The bear scene was extremely scary tho...

I think it's their near-supernatural powers that scare me. They can pass through walls, paralyse you, etc. I've only known fears this potent once, and it was when we were scaring each other with Jinn stories as children.

How do the general public just accept the Grays as a standard alien, even though it doesn’t make any sense for an sentient alien to look this much like us

If I was confronted by grey aliens I'd either lie petrified with fear and go insane; OR my mind would go into a basal animal "lust is the only antidote to death" mode and I'd just leap on it and start penetrating cathartically and wantonly, without thought or remorse...
