Made another really proud milestone this week - I became an AAI Champion!. This is due to recertifying DevOps Pro and getting approved to deliver the related course as well #aws #devops #career #training @awscloud
Alrighty - time for the big reveal. I joined @awscloud a few weeks back as a Senior Technical Trainer and this week I passed my Instructor Candidate Authorization and got my AAI certification back! Wooooooo.Should be back in the classroom in the weeks ahead!!!

Spent the last few weeks digging into Kubernetes - I'm sold, is badass, but I do agree that it makes sense to leverage a managed provider for the control plane.

@cloudbart I think the key trait is "learn and be curious". People need to have a mentality of "wait, how the **** does that work?" and that's what I've always seen correlating with lifelong passion for technology.

A lot of young tech folk feel like they're missing out or like they have missed out on generational knowledge and for me, a lot of that generational knowledge came from tinkering with hardware.
Increasingly, technology professionals are skipping over the build-and-play-with-real-hardware phase of being a career geek - it's an important part of loving it long term #cloud.

Precisely why it's a great time and a terrible time to live in small fun towns like #Asheville - great time to sell my local home but where can ya move???.
Asheville is an amazing place. But man does this seems like a lot of money for a narrow house on a small lot with neighbors right on you.
