The Sonic characterization "debate" is so weird.
It's just fans voicing legitimate concerns about the mischaracterization of Sonic, only for an ignorant person who doesn't understand the characters to add something that has no bearing on the discussion at all.

I aint never said people who disagree with me are ignorant! I said that ignorant people will engage in an argument when they don't know what they're talking about, instead of understanding why people want the JP side, they throw insults and random loose evidence.

It’s probably because you guys think people who disagree with you are “ignorant”. You are allowed to like sonic, I do too, but the character is changing and it’s most likely staying that way because the main majority like him

The problem comes when someone doesn't know how to defend what they like, and we only have people who are offended...
For example: I have reasons to say that US Sonic in Frontiers is in-character.

Dude. Same here. İ am arguing with people a lot about sonic's characterization.(Ian) and telling people why his Sonic isn't realy Sonic but something else. And people just... Does not want to understand me at all. İn my opinion kishimoto shoud be the writer for the games-

Can’t stand the people who will look at Prime Sonic and Black Knight Sonic and go “yeah they are the same character”.
