People are crapping all over the plans to change Wales' speed limits to 20mph instead of 30mph. There is a lot of noise about it but having looked at the evidence I believe this is actually a really good bit of policy. Let me explain. [Thread]

While commercial actors can contribute positively to health and society, a significant proportion are not. Just 4 industry sectors are responsible for at least 1/3 of global deaths every year: 🚬 Tobacco 🍺 Alcohol 🍔 Unhealthy foods 🏭 Fossil fuels https://t.co/5JHf7IVlbh

Here's a thread on the evidence on benefit sanctions, given reports that #Budget2023 will introduce an (even) "tougher" regime. It is an appallingly bad idea. First up is this excellent, thorough and sobering review by @Serena_Pattaro et al. https://t.co/lBN5LjIded

With rising numbers in Britain too ill to work, it's time to ask the question: what if work itself is making us sick? It's not as physically hazardous as it used to be, but it seems to becoming more psychologically hazardous https://t.co/gPJVWuf4Ax
