Chicago Police officers were at the 26th Street Mexican Independence Day Parade today securing the route so attendees and participants could celebrate safely.
Expect increased traffic in the downtown area. If necessary, expect street closures in the Central Business District along with diversions to control traffic flow. Plan accordingly and allow extra time if traveling in the area.
