I have become a better person from interacting with and learning from others who are different to me. I will be forever grateful for the UK affording me that opportunity through the richness of its diversity. We need to work together to protect that at all costs #inshallah

Check in on your friends, your neighbours, people you are working with. Let them know you’re thinking of them, ask if there’s anything you can do to help. No one should be terrified to go out in public just because they don’t have the ‘right’ skin colour

I’m often told “we didn’t mean you” …..really, why’s that then? 🤯 I’m on holiday out of the UK and I’m utterly appalled at reports & level of violence, hate & vitriol erupting on the streets. I’m desperately worried for colleagues, friends and family of different ethnicities.

The UK & Ireland simply cannot exist without the skills, talents, different perspectives that people of all backgrounds, cultures and faiths bring. As a proud immigrant *to* the UK of over 30 years, when challenging concerns directly with people stating “they should go back home”

fast forward to Y6…fully integrated, accessing full timetable + extra curricular, popular class member, loves playing as a team member in football!!!! All things we thought might never be possible…these are the things that should be measured, rewarded and celebrated !!!!

I couldn’t be prouder if all that they have achieved given at one point they were on a reduced timetable of one hour per day and we had multiple meetings regarding potential permanent exclusion…..

For context, duckling has been offered accommodations and support but will always pick up on stress & anxiety of others as well as personal anxiety of unknown & “perceived pressure”.

My beautiful, bright, quirky talented duckling hiding behind the cardboard in the wardrobe because of extreme anxiety due to #SATs…..there has to be a better way than this! 😔😮‍💨 #ADHD #autism #childhoodtrauma
