I created a small collection of stickers! My goal w the swag is to help folks explore and form deeper connections w Yiddish language/history/culture so I’ll explain the roots of each design starting with “vos ikh bin, bin ikh, nor a yid bin ikh” https://t.co/UkBsHSmw7A

It was great talking with host Noè Harsel for the podcast 'Like Us' back in May of 2023, I'm so happy our episode has finally aired! 📸A bit of behind the scenes from my recording side - desperately trying to optimize my audio quality from my bedroom closet below ⬇️

Cameron Bernstein has been creating TikTok content about the Yiddish language. A common FAQ is people trying to understand her mixed race identity as a 'Chicagoan Jew who is Filipino and Ashkenazi'. 🎧 Listen to 'Like Us' wherever you get your podcasts.

I'm lucky enough to pursue my degree in medicine, uninterrupted by threats of war and violence. It only took a moment to donate from my corner of the library, mid study session. Please consider donating to this campaign or others like it. https://t.co/AZkHzAtIuE

You need to be dilettantemaxxing. You need to be dabbling in various fields and pursuits. Half-heartedly exploring beekeeping. Reading the first two chapters of a physics textbook. Knitting 2/3 of a glove. You need to be abandoning projects

I included this diagram in my peer tutorial session on cardiac embryology - I wonder how much work it would take for me to teach the same session in Yiddish? Source: “tsu gezunt un tsu lebn” by Dr. Yankev B Glen/Dr. Jacob B. Glen

For as something as deeply rooted as the Pesach seder, ultimately I defer to the Jewish American English of my own childhood - though that isn't quite true. My Jewish grandfather has always been my "Papa" (& grandma my "Nannie"), with Bubbie/Zeidy being the names they eschewed.
