@thedancingflea @pennycenturyy @EdKing2210 @joshi Thanks for engaging Claire. There is so much to cover here which is why we are going to break it up into further stories. We're rounding up the feedback too and will include responses in tomorrow's edition.

@brumdispatch @pennycenturyy @EdKing2210 @joshi As the person who tabled the motion of no confidence against John Clancy, it was driven by misleading our citizens and workforce and the ultra vires decision making (including trying to un-suspend a man accused of bullying a global majority woman working in the bin service).

@brumdispatch @pennycenturyy @EdKing2210 @joshi Funny that that fell out of the narrative, innit.

@brumdispatch @pennycenturyy @EdKing2210 @joshi A crucial point in your article is about the backing of the Cabinet - polling the Cabinet by email cannot unmake a decision at Cabinet Committee (only the committee can do that, or Full Council). One is a decision-making body, one is...an email to a bunch of scared people.

@brumdispatch @pennycenturyy @EdKing2210 @joshi Anyway, I am not trying to be spiky about a detailed and thoughtful piece. Just horrid to go back to those days, remembering the worst that my people (politicians) could be, and the huge consequences of that.

@brumdispatch @pennycenturyy @EdKing2210 @joshi A good reminder of why I stood down. At least one politician needed to pay, so it might as well have been me.
