“When people ask me what it looks like to follow Jesus, I usually say that following Him looks like dealing with all of the issues everyone else does - disappointments, tremendous joy, uncertainty, everything – and learning how Jesus would have dealt with these emotions.”

@bobgoff I agree Bob, we also need to stress the importance of being a disciple of Jesus Christ. In order to 'follow' Jesus' conduct one must first study what His conduct was like. A Disciple will "count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus" -Phil 3:8🌿

@bobgoff Clean the cup from the inside first then the outside will eventually be clean. Receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. #Acts2:38

@bobgoff Yes to this!! So many assumptions that being a believer means everything in your life is perfect. Because it isn’t is why I need a savior!

@bobgoff Trying to find him while in darkness feels nearly impossible. But the analogy of how would he deal with this is something I’ve never thought of

@bobgoff Following Jesus is a pathway to hope, not hopelessness. With Jesus all things are possible. Without Jesus we are left to our own abilities and no one to help us in our hour of need. It just makes life a lot easier knowing Jesus is part of our life's picture.
