It's a bittersweet day for us as we say our final farewell to our venerable C-130T, Fat Albert. Fat Albert has served the Blue Angels honorably the past 17 years, and represented the United States Marine Corps to millions of fans.
Today we conducted our final flight on the F/A-18 A/B/C/D "Legacy" Hornets marking the official transition of the Blue Angels to the F/A-18 E/F Super Hornet platform.

The Blue Angels would like to thank the City of Smyrna, the State of Tennessee, and all those who contributed to the creation of this beautiful memorial that will preserve the legacy of Capt. Jeff Kuss.
As we prepare to officially transition to the F/A-18 Super Hornet tomorrow, we reflect on 34 years of Blue Angels who have flown, maintained and supported the F/A-18 "Legacy" Hornets across the United States. We take with us lessons learned, camaraderie and fond memories.
Prior to the California Capital Airshow, we had the honor and privilege of taking to the skies with "Doc", the B-29 Superfortress bomber. Delivered to the Army in 1944, Doc is one of two remaining B-29s that are capable of flying.

On this Memorial Day, we honor the heroes who have gone before us. The service members and families who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country. Without them, we would not be where we are today. We thank you for everything you have given and continue to give.
Today, we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to their country.
