Using interviews and participant observation, we examined the emotions of anti-lockdown protesters towards news, information and misinformation sources and the political elite while exploring conspiracy coalitions in the protests and the larger affective anti-lockdown atmosphere.

The BBC has finally made the protests in Turkey its top headline. It also references X, which shut down 700 opposition accounts in Turkey that supported democracy and called for the release of İmamoğlu, the jailed opposition candidate.
