Isn't it completely bizarre that the EU is happy to tax its own citizens to support Ukraine, when it could be using Russia’s frozen money for the same purpose? Belgium's position is frankly ludicrous!

This is gaslighting in the extreme. For Putin, taking the frozen assets to compensate Ukraine is “stealing”, but Russia invading and occupying 20% of Ukrainian territory is perfectly fine.

Of course the Belgian PM was threatened personally by the Kremlin. He either has to ignore the threats or step down. He can’t oppose sending to the money to Ukraine because of fear. Millions of Europeans will die because of his personal fear if he succumbs to it.
