my favorite thing about art basel used to be how nobody could tell what was art and what wasn’t, i remember a bunch of tourists taking a picture of a chair someone threw out next to a dumpster

or maybe the morale of the story is that anything can be art, idk, but the local street guys had way more interesting stuff than anyone in the exhibits

one time my homie threw an exhibit in overtown when it was still them P’s (we were too poor and uncool for wynwood proper) but some local dope boys came over and showed us binders of their hand drawn art. one dude had some goku drawings that woulda made toriyama jealous
