Were you there? How do you know there was no cheating? Facts are important. Opinions are for support, be careful who you support. Chess players that admit to cheating are not entitled to the benefit of the doubt.

Whether he did or didn't, is irrelevant. What matters is what can be proven. That is the world we live in. That truth might hurt some more than others.

I think
@FIDE_chess
Ethics commission has to step in, and establish a fair, transparent and independent process to handle, investigate and finally administer justice when such cases or accusations arise among professional chess players.
@ben_finegold
Sir, that's your opinion. You're a GM, I'm a simple chess player. But that's just your opinion; not the one of the world champ. The ball is in Niemann's court.
@ben_finegold
The only plausible way I can imagine that he could´ve cheated is if someone was in that room communicating the best move with sign language. But it doesn´t look like there is a crowd there, so I think it´s just based on his online past.
@ben_finegold
Do you really believe that Niemann is a big genius and won that match against Carlsen without any help? If he could win why he lost around 100 elo at non-live tournaments against much lower elo players?
@ben_finegold
So what? Does that mean that Magnus doesn't have the right to protest against cheating and cheaters? When was the right time? 2086? When you're no longer around to feel offended?
