I'm all for anti-censorship and having the freedom to write what you want as long as it's fiction, but there are things we shouldn't cross and this is one of them.
I think op's only fault here is not adding more context that the fic was about a real child. I wouldn't have known too and I would've thought they were just complaining about a fictional ship if I hadn't checked the qrts.
@myst1calx
This is why I check the qrts first before making a comment ๐ญ
Yet at the same time, I can't fully blame people who truly didn't know the full context of it. I just wish they make it a habit to double check next time before jumping into conclusions.

One of my worst fears as a proshipper is having one of my favorite books get a live action. I used to think fiction of that was okay bc you're not writing them
as the actor they are, but you're writing them as the character from the book, if you catch my drift. I'm not sure tho
@bearbrandmilkk
I've seen NSFW proship art of the scarlet witch sons from Wandavision.. and honestly I'm on the fence. Yes it's weird, but it's not based on the actors but it's based on the characters the actors played which are fictional..
@bearbrandmilkk
Alright I can see why this is dicey. If the character is solely based on a live actor who is a minor and that is the only source of media, then yeah itโs weird. Radical anti-censorship is radical for a reason tho. This is definitely testing the boundaries of it.
@bearbrandmilkk
Yeah it's a hard pass on making darkfic of real people or drawing darkfic of an actor's likeness that plays the character. Those should be some boundaries
@bearbrandmilkk
This is why I don't call myself proship. The amount of people who genuinely think this is okay as long as it stops "real kids" (like the actor isn't a real kid) from being hurt. And it's not like all of them don't know what's happening, it's that they don't care.
