This is incorrect. Economics is actually a subfield of political economy, contrary to what many people think. Many of those we consider today as the "classical economists" — such as Smith, Marx, and Ricardo — referred to their field of inquiry as political economy.

Political economy is not a subfield of economics. Political economy is a subfield of political science which happens to be useful for studying economic problems

Why Nitish Endures? A leader who, by mastering the rhythm of renewal, transforms survival itself into leadership. His journey offers a reminder that in a democracy of churn and chance, endurance may be the rarest—and most refined—form of political art. https://t.co/jynSmUe9Kb

My article in today’s @timesofindia . I argue that while it is the duty of the state to ensure compliance of visa conditions, it has no business to assess the scholarship of a professor. India must guard against any impression it has closed its doors on foreign scholars

For the 2025 Assembly election, the RJD has not made any significant changes in the caste composition of its candidates from the previous election, with the highest number still coming from the Yadavs

In the long-run, equality & prosperity come together: the ratio P99.9/P10 dropped from 150 to <10 in Nordic countries, & this did not prevent them from becoming the most productive in the world This is the path to follow for sustainable development https://t.co/x2nmj2q5uj
There is a strong positive association between equality and development over the long run — that's what our historical series available on https://t.co/3orZXT8SHo are clearly showing. Key findings in thread 🧵(1/8)👇 https://t.co/nQ7CLsRck7

RJD’s candidates from EBCs have declined from 13.13 per cent to 11.19 per cent. This could be because the party saw the lowest strike rate among EBC candidates in the 2020 Bihar Assembly polls.

https://t.co/VMhgdziewM
