Due to recent notable rainfall and higher regional humidity, fire restrictions have been lifted in Southeast Utah Group parks (Arches & Canyonlands national parks, Hovenweep & Natural Bridges national monuments). Remember: you can still practice fire safety year-round.

Fire restrictions at Arches & Canyonlands lower to Stage 1 tonight. Open fires will be allowed in provided grates at campgrounds & picnic areas, or charcoal in a fire pan alongside rivers. Smoking is only allowed inside vehicles or on paved areas. Fireworks are never allowed.

Tomorrow, August 4th, is a Fee-Free Day to commemorate the anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act.⛰️🌲GAOA invested 💰in deferred park projects. On Fee-Free days, you do not need to pay the park entrance fee, but other types of fees (camping, tours, permits) still apply.

Juneteenth National Independence Day became a national holiday on June 17, 2021, celebrating the end of slavery. In recognition, entrance to the park is free on June 19th, 2025. Just remember that a Timed Entry Reservation is still required to enter the park between 7am-4pm!
