1. Only about 25% would give First Nations veto rights over national infrastructure projects that involve FN lands. Most opt for “meaningful” negotiations and about 25% say ignore the FN groups altogether. Big difference across party lines. 2. On UNDRIP – about 50% of Canadians.

Mulroney would end crushing the Liberals. In the recent US election we witnessed the same phenomenon . Harris was unable to offer a single point of criticism about The 4 Biden years. This was her biggest mistake by far.

And lead the Tories under Mulroney by 10%. The bright star ended up as a shooting star for several reasons: chief among them was his inability to criticize the former Liberal govt and his failure to rescind some of senior Trudeau’s more outrageous appointments.

I was John Turner’s pollster 40 years ago and witnessed the arrive of a bright star to replace the black hole that had become the Liberals under PET. For about a month after the Liberal convention that made him PM we saw Turner reverse Liberal fortunes .
