I think Shannon’s reactions and responses are also telling. He asked for advice and he is rejecting everything. He convinced himself that women are the predators so he is not open to even having dialogue and to communicate boundaries and expectations on the first date..

I hear Kirk. The nature of dating in 2023 is transactional, whereas 30 years or more ago the focus was courtship. Nothing is being learned during that phase to determine if the time and effort (mentally and fiscally) is worth the investment. Shannon is a symptom of the problem.

the problem with what Kirk is saying is this if a man pays for everything what some women wont do is let him go hustle to keep that money coming. most modern women want to go out go on trips but to do that the man has to keep that money coming in
