We are seeing increasing diversity in the NHS, but laparoscopy is still a core component of surgery. That will change, but open, laparoscopy, hybrid, and full robotics are part of the future. We probably need a data driven model. Great to see Impact Surgery continuing to grow -

Guidelines committees need to stop making sweeping statements on very low quality evidence. Deal with uncertainty of effects, do not make recommendations based on industry driven evidence, and stop diverting money away from proven, value based healthcare interventions.

*last few years -far more sick patients, un-dischargeable and *need* hospital care -'faster discharges' = more boucebacks, compounding the problem -locally and nationally *defunded* same day GP (doctor) appointments: the key route to reducing this, same day hospital speciality
