The FDA requested the DEA ban the compound 7-OH citing increased risk of abuse. 7-OH is an alkaloid in the kratom plant. It's used for pain and harm reduction.

Thanks everyone for your input regarding DEA and rescheduling. Some of you made persuasive arguments. It is a different era. There is the HHS recommendation. Maybe it will happen. We all want reform and we’ll just have to see what DEA does. Great discussion!
