Cursor's plan mode is *incredible* - the difference is night and day. Gives the agent headspace to flesh out everything and clarifies everything beforehand. Highly recommend using it before doing anything that's even intermediate level.

This is based off of ARM's Enhanced Memory Tagging Extension (EMTE) which handle memory corruption bugs like use-after-free, buffer overflows and out of bounds accesses by assigning crytographic tags and verifying at the hardware level itself

A lot of people aren't aware but Apple introduced Memory Integrity Enforcement (MIE) with the iPhone 17 A19 chip. This significantly increases security since memory corruption bugs are taken care of at the hardware level making them *almost* impossible to exploit

Update: Lovable has confirmed that the official way to store secrets locally is to put it in .env.dev. If you're doing this, be sure to add it to the .gitignore first

Good luck if someone using lovable (most likely not a seasoned developer) makes this open source and puts an OPENAI_API_KEY because its what worked on their computer

While it's only public variables, I still use a .env while developing locally and have never seen anyone setup a vault to use locally. Bad developer experience because there's such a high chance people will check in secrets into this and accidentally commit it
