3/ Two fixes:. 1) Detect the “has WiFi but no internet” case in the app, and fix the bug that causes the logout.2) Configure WiFi networks to Whitelist GL domains, to always allow access to those even before login. Hope these details help, have a great day!.

2/ When you approach a club, your phone auto-connects to its WiFi, but it might not have access to the broader internet until you go through the login page (accept T&Cs). If you open the app then, it’ll log you out. The quick workaround is to disable WiFi before opening the app.

Hey @GLMemberCare, the QR code feature of the app is great, but there’s a bug that causes it to be have a pretty big hiccup when entering a club. If open it while your don’t have internet access, it logs you out! Adds quite a delay when entering a club. Details and ideas in 🧵

As I see it, "ahhh, I should google about 'shared mutable state'" is not a thought that would come up to a novice. In some sense, if you know what that term even means, you're already past the event horizon, in the group of people who understand this problem+solution.
