Everytime people say anything nice about my art at conventions, I honestly do them mostly for the confidence boost these days, I feel so energized to draw after. Even if I am dead physically. :D
Artists! What was the best thing someone said or did for you that made you a better creative and or an even better person? (instead of opening the Pandora's box of art school ptsd)

In a college art class I originally had the characters having this picnic by this waterfall, the teacher told me it was ‘too 50s commercial, (meaning idyllic??)’ He disliked everything I did, it was too soft or sweet. Made me question my art and myself tbh.
Artists: Did you ever have a bad art-school critique that really set you back, knocked you off your pins? What was it? Keep it short; don’t exaggerate. Often, it can be the least thing. Have you ever made a “revenge” work of art? What was it?
