Things were different for comedy writers in the 2000s. Also, Phil's great--read his essay about making Dude, Where's My Car.
This month is the 25th anniversary of the release of #DWMC -- thanks to @THR for letting me write a column about it -- please enjoy! I Wrote ‘Dude, Where’s My Car’ 25 Years Ago. It Would Never Be Made Today. https://t.co/RpQLNAGnFj via @thr

The last time Bob Costas came on the pod, we talked about the NBA on NBC. Today, we dove into the Great NFL Pregame Wars of the '80s and '90s. Musburger (CBS) and Costas (NBC). OJ, of course. Ahmad's on-air proposal to Phylicia. And Bill Murray. https://t.co/gyGPRsxLUm

ICYMI, CREED turns 10 this week. "Our movie, it’s like a weird baby of Rocky, Rocky II, and Rocky V. But it’s about Apollo Creed, so obviously, III and IV have to be in there, right? It’s like this amalgamation of all the movies before it." https://t.co/ZYnBPW9O0H

This makes me wish I could've seen Mallrats in an empty theater at Showcase Cinema in Revere when I was 12.
In the fall of 1995, ‘Mallrats’ was a box office humiliation. Now, it’s an embarrassment of riches. @katiebakes chats with director Kevin Smith for the film’s 30th anniversary: https://t.co/5hzUf0NoDd

As Mike Santini on ‘The Chair Company,’ a journeyman actor has emerged as yet another diamond in the rough from the extended Tim Robinson universe
just wanna say i love this man (joseph tudisco) on The Chair Company. looked up his imdb and it is a 30+ year list of: taxi driver, cop, super, hot dog vendor, policeman, janitor, cashier, police officer, cleaner, etc. i counted 3 roles ever with a full person's name. king.
