This may be unpopular, but this is incredibly messed up. Being denied food is rude, I get it, and everyone should get to eat, especially the hard-working photographer. However, you're not entitled to anything like that.
Assumedly, this couple paid a photographer to take pictures…

My photographer had it listed in their contract that after a certain amount of hours we had to provide dinner for them and their assistant. As far as I know it’s standard in most contracts. But this guy was a friend and not a professional so it seems like there was no contract
@Bornakang
Replies have informed me that I should've read the whole thing before saying this. My bad.
I stand by what I said if this was a pro photographer with a standard contract that didn't involve food. However, it sounds like in this case, the photographer kept his integrity.

The photographer is a dog groomer and was working in 110 heat but wasn’t even able to get water. The groom gave the ultimatum to finish working with no food/water break or leave without pay

I’m willing to go out on a limb and say that if they skimped him on food, they either didn’t pay full price or at all. Photographer said they don’t wanna work with them anymore i don’t blame them.

Okay so while not entitled to, it's expected for photographers to get food and drink. But you know what else people are not entitled to? The work of a photographer who was made to travel but not accommodated to with the most basic expectations. Funny how that works.

true but a lot of photographers put in their contract things like this (getting a seat/meal/drinks during the wedding)… so if they’re breaking the contract there i can see the photographer being in the right to go full savage mode like this 😅
