Bing AI, powered by OpenAI's ChatGPT model, is more than just a chatbot. It can answer questions, provide info, and even compose content. It's like having a personal assistant right there in your browser.

But the part I'm most excited for: Copilot for search. Sometimes a plain search does the job. And sometimes AI is more suited to the job. But with Copilot? You get the best of both worlds.

Until now, Bing AI was an exclusive club for Edge and Bing app users. But Microsoft's recent statement to ZDNET confirms the AI chat's expansion to Chrome and Safari for select users:

"We are flighting access to Bing Chat in Safari and Chrome to select users as part of our testing on other browsers," stated Caitlin Roulston, Microsoft director of communications. The expansion isn't widespread yet, but it's a start.

If you're one of the lucky chosen ones... You'll see the familiar Chat or Chat Now icon on the Bing website in Chrome. This opens the chat window, and you can start interacting with Bing AI.

So, what's different? In Chrome, you're limited to five messages per chat compared to 30 in Edge. However, both allow up to 4,000 characters in a prompt.

Bing AI moving to other browsers is a big step. A step towards making powerful AI available for everyone. But for now...

We'll be keeping an eye on this development. For now, if you're a Chrome or Safari user, keep checking for that Chat or Chat Now icon. You might just be the next one to chat with Bing AI.
