The problem isn’t religion, it’s a deep lack of value for human life cascading under multiple facets - religion, politics, business largely programmed by an older demographic. It is deep & on steroids. We have no values as a people that make us empathize with the next person.
I don't know if we can make any progress in Nigeria with the toxic, overwhelming presence of religion. I wish I could press a button and make all the gods disappear. But you can't do that. This is a problem I have no solution for. How do we remove religion from the public sphere?

9 years ago I picked up Photoshop. By channeling inspiration from the greats like Niyi Okeowo, I was able to create digital art. However I’d see lots of copies of my work on the internet without attribution. There were so many copies of my art with no consent 🧵

Taught 20% of the org in 🇳🇬 UX Design over a 12 week course I designed. That was ~200 folks. Paid fees for a student in a private uni. Above all, I found my truest, highest self. Cant help but give it up to God man

Heard they had less than 3% attrition last year. What’s clear is for them, it’s not necessarily about higher pay only, so perhaps a better culture than Paystack offers.

🇳🇬 Designers are so quick to talk about problem solving meanwhile the number one problem is putting food in the stomach. Normalize being frank with yourself on whether a project is for eating (fake process, push lots of pixels) or truly solving a problem (iteratively)

This year I met burnout, an incredible amount of grief & heart-numbing loss. I also met my highest income, a new home & many happy moments. I’m tired cl, but still hopeful that next year will be better. Being better means a rejuvenated heart, more prosperity & growth.
