Bristol, Monkton, New Haven and Starksboro have ratified Lincoln's vote to withdraw from the MAUSD. The combined four-town vote was 1,366-441, a 3-to-1 margin. Individually: Bristol 554-219; New Haven 240-90; Monkton 289-70; Starksboro 286-54. #tmdvt.

On Town Meeting Day, voters in the 17 Addison County towns that send kids to the Hannaford Career Center overwhelmingly approved of the proposed $4.2 million spending plan (4,528 yes to 1,427 no) and the $8.1 million request for infrastructure improvements (4,278 yes to 1,470 no).

For ACSD board seats in Middlebury, the three winners are James (Chip) Malcolm (1,821), Steve Orzech (1,566) and Brian Bauer (1,537).

The Addison Central School District board election results are finally in at 1 a.m. In Ripton, Joanna Doria (1,461) defeats incumbent Amy McGlashan (802). In Weybridge, Jamie McCallum (1,389) defeats incumbent Mary Cullinane (845) Look for full coverage in Thursday's Addy Indy.

News from Bristol: Voters OK'd the sale of retail cannabis by a 2-to-1 margin; and ratified Lincoln's move to leave the MAUSD by 552-219. Also, Jennifer Wagner (386) defeated Gary Russell (334) for Bristol Town Moderator. #tmdvt.

And here are the results from ACSD board -- Cornwall: Peter Conlon wins reelection (Conlon, 1425; Chris Kramer, 1090). Middlebury: Hescock and Noble win seats, Desmarais (the incumbent) loses (Hescock, 1774; Noble, 1331; Desmarais, 915). Shoreham: Barbara Wilson (unopposed) 2245.

Here are the vote tallies by town: .Bridport — 189 yes, 58 no.Cornwall — 425 yes, 67 no.Middlebury — 1,180 yes, 312 no.Salisbury — 174 yes, 45 no.Shoreham — 210 yes, 32 no.Weybridge — 217 yes, 40 no.

All six ACSD towns voted to let Ripton go. Ripton's proposed withdrawal must now be taken up by the State Board of Education, which will determine whether the town can form its own independent school district. #tmdvt.
