Didn’t get enough rain…??. It’s true - a few days of the nice weather and everyone’s spirit is lifted!!. However, a few localized dry areas and turf repairs require a little moisture to help aid recovery. This IBC is the ideal unit to water our Old Course during periods of need.

Vitally important to complete this exercise when mowing greens. Knowing the volume of clippings collected helps to plan operations and inputs required to aid surface performance.

Great days training - having @tcsturfequip on site to discuss cutting units is a real eye opener. The team learnt so much in just 1 day. Plenty of adjustments made to help improve playing surfaces and machinery efficiency

Unfortunately 2 days have passed with little activity on the golf courses. Maybe a blessing, this may give our Old Course time to rest following renovations. However - we welcome local contractor on site to commence hedge cutting. Hard standing tracks only this year though

Our Old Course maintenance . Day 1 .16mm solids at a depth of 175mm. Our desire is to allow moisture to penetrate to our known hydrophobic conditions. An application of wetting granular and Feacue overseeding with pot seed heads will help develop improved playing surfaces.
