"House elves are WHAT?!?!!" said Harry. "Crystalized cosmic power," said Draco a second time. "This is basic, Harry." "But modern wizards don't understand cosmic power, the most powerful form of magic, something that incinerates everything it touches if you conjure even a cubic

look i'm gonna say it, the "MY streaming service Nebula" line is weird and always stands out like a sore thumb. "My" is singular. if i own 1% of a company that's not "my" company

"aunt minnie is in the hospital"
Magnets are literally magic. You cannot rationally explain to me how βpulling worksβ you may have some analogy, some quantum fruitloop bullshit, but nobody really knows. Think about it, it makes literally no sense at a fundamental level how something can pull another object

BUT you only need one of the above points to fall for the argument to fall. it's very Spock: "if you eliminate the impossible then whatever remains however improbable must be correct" show Chalmers to be mistaken and a priori i become very surprised if consciousness is quantum

if Penrose is right i'd guess it's something like: networks of neurons are capable of a very short-lived coherent quantum state. that quantum state is experienced as an instant of consciousness, which has some small influence over how the state then collapses. repeat at ~20Hz

4) the one chink in the armor is: consciousness as a thing that can influence wave-function collapse. if you NEED an extra influence on the world, you're kind of FORCED to find it here

3) the laws of physics really don't have much room left for influence. as Sean Carroll has said the LHC pretty effectively disproves ghosts, because if there were a QFT-influencing Ghost Particle we would be creating it there
