‼️Alarming developments in #Türkiye 🇹🇷 🧵 On 19.03, more than 100 were detained (incl Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu) for alleged corruption & terror links. A 4-day protest ban was issued in #İstanbul. Despite the ban, thousands took to the streets to protest the detentions. 1/4

I am deeply relieved that Maria Kalesnikava has been allowed to meet with her father. She has been kept incommunicado for more than 600 days, starved & isolated from her family. Now, we must keep up the pressure to break the isolation of other political prisoners & free them all!

The EU countries paid 🇷🇺for 1.5 years of war against Ukraine. In particular, Germany paid for 79 days, and Poland paid for 30 days. This is money that 🇷🇺 receives for exporting energy resources. Since Feb. 24, 2024, the 🇪🇺 countries have paid €204 bln for 🇷🇺 energy exports.
