This May Day, I joined colleagues, friends, and community members to take on the streets of Los Angeles. Marching under the banner: “one struggle, one fight, workers unite.”. Proud to stand alongside thousands to lift up all workers and especially today all immigrant workers.

Last week, on International Earth Day, I joined Senator Durazo and over 30 volunteers to take action for our planet. Together, we cleaned up a freeway off-ramp in East Hollywood to help protect our environment, keep motorists safe, and support local wildlife.

Yesterday, I joined Senator Durazo at the Memorial Mass for Pope Francis held in the Cathedral of Our Lady of Angels in Los Angeles. In 2022, I was honored to meet with Pope Francis virtually during his Synod on Synodality. Praying we can continue our work in his remembrance.

This week, I had the honor of joining the California chapter of the Laudato Si’ Movement’s Youth Summit with over 300 students — celebrating the 10th anniversary of Laudato Si’! I’m grateful to have co-MC’d the public witness alongside Sydney Menante, introducing our speakers.

Last week, my colleague Khoa Ngo and I had the opportunity to present at Franklin High School’s Career Fair! We spoke with students about the incredible work Senator Durazo is doing and highlighted our role in the district office.

This Cesar Chavez Day, I joined Senator Durazo for the United Farm Workers Of America’s March for All Workers in Delano, CA. We advocated alongside students, young people (some pets included), labor unions, farm workers and other electeds from all across the state.

Huge congratulations to the new Asm. Sade Elhawary! From meeting you on the Youth4Bass team to working on your campaign, and now seeing you inducted by the Mayor of Los Angeles—it’s been an incredible journey. Excited to see all the great work you’ll do for our home district!

Had an incredible time distributing Know Your Rights resources on behalf of Senator Durazo’s office at the March for Dignity in DTLA earlier this month! Got to join friends from LA Voice and Dolores Mission.

Earlier this week, I had the unique opportunity to represent Senator Durazo's Office at an early screening of Netflix's "The Residence" at the Tudum Theatre in Hollywood. Extremely grateful to have joined a few of my colleagues to enjoy this new mystery drama.
