CT anyone? Sounds outdated in dementia diagnostics? In Sweden, e.g., roughly 80% of cases are diagnosed in primary care, often based on a clinical/neuropsychological assessment and a brain CT to exclude non-degenerative causes of cognitive decline. We hope to change this! (1/2)

Based on our previously developed deep learning model, we aim to leverage automated analysis of routine brain CTs as useful diagnostic support in contexts and regions where access to more advanced diagnostic tools is not provided. @AgingMacc @agecap_gu https://t.co/T9AaRTg3EM

@_michael_scholl With a clinical phenotype of AD or amnestic MCI, a head CT will suffice. Thanks for this work, because head CTs are underutilized.
