If you break something you cause issues for other people and force on-calls to triage. This includes changes which don't make it to prod too, because you never know when breaking the build will block someone during a time where you're not online.

Change my mind: don't merge changes outside of business hours unless necessary. If you're a global company then at least don't do it on weekends.

I'm not saying you necessarily have to embrace it so much that you don't even write code by hand. Not at this point, it's still rough for a lot of things. But damn, when I am coding so much is now just asking Cursor to do it or (more importantly) brainstorming with it on a plan.

I have this habit of correcting my spelling or grammar before sending messages to ChatGPT and it's annoying because I feel like the AI will judge me if I don't but it's a time waster.
