I keep hitting one of the worst possible iOS bugs: the time on the lock screen will randomly stop updating until I unlock the phone.

To be clear, I'm reminding myself not to do this too, cause I have been guilty of this as well.

If you break something you cause issues for other people and force on-calls to triage. This includes changes which don't make it to prod too, because you never know when breaking the build will block someone during a time where you're not online.

Change my mind: don't merge changes outside of business hours unless necessary. If you're a global company then at least don't do it on weekends.

I felt compelled to share this warning because LOTS of devs I know are like "ehhhh I mean I use Copilot a bit but it seems like a novelty" and I truly am afraid for them.

I'm not saying you necessarily have to embrace it so much that you don't even write code by hand. Not at this point, it's still rough for a lot of things. But damn, when I am coding so much is now just asking Cursor to do it or (more importantly) brainstorming with it on a plan.

Software engineers: if you're not truly embracing AI in your work you're going to be left behind. Full stop. I'm completely convinced.

I have this habit of correcting my spelling or grammar before sending messages to ChatGPT and it's annoying because I feel like the AI will judge me if I don't but it's a time waster.

There has been once case where I did notice "man if I didn't have good vision this would be unusable" but of course you can disable it in Accessibility.

I'm big enough to admit this Liquid Glass thing is not as bad as I thought in practice, daily life. I know they tweaked it, but even the tweaked version seemed like I would hate it.

Any iPhone users who have moved from a third party password manager + authenticator app to Apple's native stuff recently: how has it been? Seems like it has come a long way in latest OS's
